What we do at So-Cal Escrow Center, Inc. - Prepare escrow instructions
- Request preliminary title search
- Comply with the lender's requirements as specified in the escrow agreement
- Receive initial deposit and closing funds from the buyer
- Prorate insurance, taxes, interest and other payments according to lender instructions.
- Record grant deed, mortgage deeds and other documents as instructed
- Request final title insurance policy
- Close escrow when all instructions of seller and buyer have been met
- Disburse funds and prepare final HUD 1 (settlement statement)
Who do I contact for information once my escrow is in process?
If you have any questions during the escrow process, please call us at (888) 372-7693 between the hours of 8 am and 6pm Pacific Standard Time. Once we have received an open escrow order, we will generate escrow instructions and request additional documentation, you will be assigned to an Escrow Officer right away. Who handles my closing and where do I sign? If you're buying a home, we will be your closing agent and will coordinate with you to sign at our office.. If you're refinancing a property, we will be your closing agent, for signing final documents we'll select a notary for you, and you can sign in the comfort of your home.. Either way, we'll make arrangements for the loan documents to be delivered to you and will notify you when they're ready for signing.
